The beautiful Historical Village at the Allegan County Fairgrounds offers you a "step back in time".

The Village was founded in 1972 with joint cooperation between the Allegan County Historical Society and the Allegan County Fairboard.
The old school house from the Jewitt School District was the first structure in the village. Actual classes are held in the school during the Allegan County Fair.

Then came the first of two Farmer Museum's followed by an old log church. The village has continued to expand and now includes the 1840's House (pictured above), Doctor's Office, Town Hall,

General Store (pictured above), Fire Station, Gas Station (pictured left), Caboose and much more.

During the fair, members of the Allegan County Historical Society are available to guide you through the Village and answer any questions you may have.
In one of the Farmer Museum's you will find a rare 1905 Gale Automobile (pictured right). This was the first touring car in Allegan County.

We invite you to come and enjoy the beautiful Historical Village. No trip to the fair is complete without it. The Village is truly a showpiece at the Allegan County Fair.
